Abstract
The Topology Processor (TP) is the core of every Distribution Management System (DMS). It is used to prepare, update and to provide access to the network data. The paper presents an object oriented implementation of the Topology Processor (TP) for Distribution Network Applications (DNA). The implementation is based on the Visitor Pattern which is a well known paradigm in the object oriented modeling. The usage of the Visitor Pattern leads to a code which is efficient, easy to understand, to maintain and to extend. The paper contains some complex scenarios, such as cross phase jumpers and single phase switching. Performance results are also included and analyzed.
