Abstract :
As the penetration of small solar photovoltaic (PV) generators increases on the power system it is important for electric power system operators and planners to fully understand the operating characteristics of PV inverters and battery systems. This paper presents detailed results of steady-state testing on one commercial inverter system with lead acid battery storage. The project will continue with transient testing of the same inverter system and development of models for the inverter and batteries.
