Abstract
Caching is one of the most effective techniques for improving the performance of 10 accesses between computing units and memories. The cache replacement policy determines which objects remain in cache and which are evicted to make room for new objects. We have proposed a new fuzzy algorithm called fuzzy page replacement (FPR) in this paper. The performance of this algorithm is compared with the well-known cache replacement algorithms through simulation. Simulation results show that this fuzzy approach outperforms the other algorithms and has the potential to be considered in future researches
