  • Abstract
SBFTS is capable of high temporal resolution by using two 64 × 64 sample FPAs. It will definitely lead to large amount of data, which is a heavy burden for data transferring. This paper introduced a general approach of decimation. Three types of antialiasing filters have been investigated. The effect of different antialiasing filters has been compared and evaluated. The input data rate 114.688 Mbps has been reduced to 57.344 Mbps. HB filter provided the attenuation performance less than 0.008. And it took only 26 slices to implement the decimation process. Compared with CIC and FIR, HB filter is a better choice considering system requirements. Although this preliminary investigation is still at laboratory level, both the simulation and hardware testing give us confidence to go on our research further.
