Abstract :
The twelfth five-year plan in China begins and it proposes that in 2015, the wind power generation will reach to 190 billion kWh. It will bring huge economic benefits. In this paper, supposing that the wind power generation replace the power generation of typical coal-fired power plants, it estimated the reduced emission of dust, exhausted gases, greenhouse gases and waste water and the reduced consumption of water and coal as well as other social benefits. Based on policy cost and the generation cost difference of wind power, the total social benefits at the end of the twelfth five-year plan will be calculated.
