Abstract
Third generation mobile communication system offers an integrated voice and high rate data services through dedicated traffic channels. To accommodate an integrated voice and data service efficiently, the admission and access control scheme must be researched. We have proposed an admission/access control scheme and an analytical queueing model for an integrated service. The performance of our proposed scheme is evaluated in terms of voice call blocking probability, outage probability of voice traffic, data transmission request blocking probability, and mean data delay
