Abstract
The CMA based decision-feedback blind adaptive multiuser detectors (DFBD-CMA) have been studied and proven to be similar to the performance of decorrelating decision-feedback multiuser detector (DDFD), but its convergence is shown to be slow. We substitute the MSE equalizer for the CMA equalizer and propose an alternative blind adaptive multiuser detector for synchronous CDMA, called DFBD-MSE. Our simulations show the convergence of DFBD-MSE is better than that of DFBD-CMA, and its error performance is very similar to DFBD-CMA in both AWGN channels and slowly varying Rician and Rayleigh fading channel. Our DFBD-MSE can be used in a base station because it requires the timings and codes of each user
