Abstract :
A potentiality of the location problem in wireless networks that has not been explored enough is the mobility of the user equipment. The use of a Kalman tracker helps in reducing the variability of the positioning by optimally averaging in time. We compare the location accuracy obtained in comparison to the least-square solution with no tracking. The performance comparison is done in a UMTS scenario, using uplink and downlink measurements in realistic propagation conditions
