Abstract
This paper focuses on the application of decision support systems (DSS) to top executives and CEOs decision making for enterprises´ development. It narrates the experience of Chinese enterprises in the development of decision making and the related emergence of an information-based support organization for enterprises, the information & decision support center. The paper narrates a decision support system case. The paper also narrates the challenges envisaged and lessons learned from the DSS cases.
