Abstract
A three-step dielectric resonator antenna is introduced which can possess a large bandwidth. In an example presented, the antenna which is considered to have a dielectric constant of 37 can provide a 10 dB bandwidth in excess of 10% over which the radiation pattern effectively remains unaltered. The antenna, which is excited through a conductor strip etched on the antenna vertical side, is compatible with a coaxial feed line.
