Abstract
Full scope simulator was adopted to teach simulation practice of power plant operation in North China Electric Power University. It solves the contradiction between the safety of power plant operation and teaching practice. College students can startup, shut down the devices, adjust running parameters and treat malfunction on simulator. Compared with practice in real power plant, the teaching effect is improved. Further more, simulator operating instruction system is developed to solve the problem between study independence and team cooperation when large numbers of college students operate on simulator. All operation steps demonstrated by teacher were converted into flash or video and integrated in the instruction system, itpsilas convenient for students to study operation rules again and again, or teach themselves after class because the instruction system is independent of simulator. This teaching method, offline demonstration and online operation, makes best use of simulation time, the studentspsila space and time is enlarged. The simulation operation connects academic teaching and actual power plant operation, enhanced the studentspsila cooperation, guides the students to handle a problem with the viewpoint of overall situation, It lays the foundation of studentspsila future work.
