Abstract
In this paper, we consider a broadcast relay channel (BRC) with one source, one relay and two destinations. Achievable rate region based on nodes´ cooperation is derived, where superposition coding, multirate coding, DF coding, CF coding and Marton´s coding are employed. We further investigated three special cases of broadcast relay channel, namely the Near relay BRC, Middle relay BRC and Far relay BRC, which are defined according to the difference in quality among the three links related to the relay. For each case, coding scheme to sufficiently make use of the relay and the corresponding achievable rate region are provided.
