Abstract :
Bell Laboratories space-time (BLATS) wireless systems are multiple antenna communication schemes that can achieve very high spectral efficiencies in scattering environment with no increase in bandwidth or transmitted power. In this paper we propose an adaptive algorithm for detection in V-BLAST systems based on affine projection algorithm. The proposed technique can improve convergence speed compared to least mean-squares (LMS) with much reduced computational cost compared to recursive least squares (RLS). We present comparison of computational complexities of LMS, RLS, and APA-based detection algorithms. Simulation results illustrate the performance of the proposed algorithm
