  • Abstract
This paper introduces the design of virtual oscilloscopes based on the developing platform of virtual instrument--LabVIEW. Firstly, it introduces the system component of virtual oscilloscopes including the hardware parts and software parts. Design of hardware system includes PCI-6024 data acquisition card. Design of software system includes main control module, data acquisition module, waveform display module, data record module, data playback module, data spectrum analysis module, parameter measurement module and data transport module. Secondly, it introduces characteristics of virtual oscilloscopes by compared with traditional oscilloscopes. At last, practice proved that virtual oscilloscopes have such advantages as high measuring precision, powerful functions, friendly interface, easily manipulation and so on. It is no doubt that virtual oscilloscopes have a good practical value and wide application prospect.
