Abstract
Many kinds of so-called random signals, such as the sea clutter in radar and the reverberation in sonar, are chaos signals. We present a modified detector in chaos. The main idea is to predict the signal of a test cell by forward and backward prediction instead of only forward or backward. The detector can reduce the error of prediction and improve the detection performance. An illustration is given; the detection performance of the detector is evaluated by a closed form
