Abstract :
This paper describes the design, processing and winding of an alternative current (AC) superconducting magnet used for AC loss measurement of superconducting materials with pickup-coil method. The structure of the magnet was solenoid, its form was FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastics). The magnet was wound by twisted NbTi/Cu multifilament composite superconducting wire. In order to meet its stability, a cooling channel was designed between the every two layers. The magnitude and uniformity of magnetic field strength were satisfied with the requirements of AC loss measurements.
