Abstract
Adaptive echo cancellation using the wavelet packet subband decomposition can reduce the computation burden significantly, but suffers from the problem of non-shiftability. An approach to adjust the original wavelet function intended to solve this problem is proposed. The relationship between perfect reconstruction (PR) and shiftability is also discussed
