Abstract :
An efficient framework is proposed and demonstrated where sky visibility viewed from running vehicle is economically estimated with low cost GPS receivers automobiles are equipped with. Our preliminary experiment articulated economical L1 GPS receivers can create enough precise database of ground feature blockage. It is also feasible to develop an automatic database creation system with civil vehicular GPS receivers. The database provides a basis of satellite handover for vehicles
