Abstract :
With the improvements of the voltage level and transmission capacity of power grid, the voltage level of the UHVDC project will increase. Therefore, China Electric Power Research Institute has completed the manufacture of the ±1100kV/5000A UHVDC valve, designed electric circuit, cooling system, valve tower structure in details and verified by type tests. The results show that the ±1100kV/5000A UHVDC valve prototype can meet the engineering application, and certain upgrading space is available.
