  • Abstract
A kind of diversity-multiplexing tradeoff coordinated block-diagonalization precoding structure is obtained, based on the study of several multi-cell MIMO downlink joint transmission algorithms. Simulation results show that performance of coordinated JT-BD outperforms JT-ZF and JT-MMSE, close to single cell interference-free upper bound. It can effectively eliminate inter-cell interference and greatly improve spectral efficiency. Furthermore, spectral efficiency of 4 × 2 antenna structure is between 2 × 2 and 4 × 4 structure. However, because of the full use of macro diversity, CDF curve of 4 × 2 structure is much steeper, especially at lower SNR, so it can improve users´ fairness. In addition, compared with 4 × 4 structure, its receiver complexity and overhead can be greatly reduced. Therefore, the unsymmetrical structure including 4 × 2, which can obtain tradeoff between diversity and multiplexing, is an excellent and more reasonable coordinated structure.
