Abstract :
On hard disk surfaces, lubricant layer not only contributes for triological requirement, but also inhibits the generation of corrosion. Corrosion resistance is a key factor in the novel lubricant development. This paper studies the corrosion products on disk surfaces with different lubricant. The relationship between the lubricant molecular structure/properties and the corrosion product composition/distribution on hard disk surfaces is studied and reported.
