Abstract :
In this paper, we introduce a control scheme for self-servo track writing process using a state-space disturbance observer (DOB). An LQG/LTR controller with the state-space DOB is designed for feedback controller. In addition, feedforward control for reference correction signal is designed to prevent the radial error propagation. The proposed method is validated by simulation results which show improvements in DC track spacing and AC track squeeze of the written tracks.
