Abstract
Two trial systems to evaluate fundamental functions of a wireless ad-hoc community network (WACNet) are presented. As a result of experimentation involving the first trial system, it is shown that the system enables network reconfiguration to improve the total bit rate of the traffic stream. A routing protocol is implemented in the second trial system to achieve hierarchical segmentation including adaptive repeating stations and dynamic topology reconfiguration
