  • Abstract
    In this paper we consider the use of Doppler measurements for the problem of detecting and tracking a moving underwater target using a multistatic active sonar system. The problem is cast in a Bayesian formulation using a sample representation of the posterior distribution. We examine the benefits of using Doppler-sensitive waveforms on multiple sensors versus that of other waveform or sensor combinations. The analysis is performed in the context a multistatic data set from the DEMUS ´04 seatrial which was injected with simulated targets and prepared for the multistatic tracking working group.
