Abstract :
Computer-aided process planning (CAPP) serves as a link in an integrated CAD/CAM system. The prototype system object-oriented computer aided process planning (OOCAP) presented in this paper is an object-oriented approach. The integration of rules, facts and operations in objects is the key concept in the system, as this makes the design process less procedural. The mechanism of triggering knowledge rules automatically is also described
