Abstract :
The heat energy and exergy analysis for fiber drying in MDF manufacturing was conducted based on heat and exergy balance in this paper. The results showed that the heat efficiency in fiber drying is 75.7%, and specific energy consumption is about 15.4×105kJ/m3 MDF; the exergy efficiency is 43.36%, Specific exergy consumption is 42.7×104kJ/m3 MDF, and the equipment thermodynamic perfection index of fiber drying system is 55.18%. Exergy evaluation indicators are suitable for evaluating of energy utilization in drying system, especially in assessing the technical modification´s effects in drying system.
