Abstract :
To achieve adequate frequency resolution, conventional Fourier transform methods for frequency analysis of the magnetic signals associated with the basic electrical control activity of smooth muscle average data over unacceptably long time intervals. The authors explore the application of spectral analysis and temporal localization by means of parametric modeling and by analysis of eigenvalues of the autocorrelation matrix to magnetoenterographic (MENG) signals from smooth muscle of rabbit small intestine
