Abstract
With the formation of global market and appearance of dynamic alliance, distributed design and evaluation become especially important. To solve the limitation of traditional DFx systems, we present a DFx evaluation model that is based on multi-agent system (MAS) and supports distributed design. We firstly discuss the advantages of the MAS and establish a DFx frame making best of it. Then, we make the definition of domain-specific ontology, which is the basis of the MAS. It supports the knowledge sharing among agents and the integration of the enterprise knowledge. Finally, we give the detailed design of each agent. The practical results prove that the system has the advantages of reconfigurability, reusability and scalability.
