Abstract
This paper presents a continuous decoding algorithm combined with adaptive equalization for receiving UWB signal in indoor multipath channel. It provides theoretical analysis and simulation results based on multiuser environment. This new algorithm computes initial forward recursion using training sequence needed by the adaptive equalizer, and uses lower constraint length to reduce memory consumption for both backward recursion and decoding. While completing signal decoding, the algorithm also produces log-likelihood ratio (LLR) of the encoded sequence as feedback to the channel estimation module. Simulation results demonstrated that the algorithm had good performance near conventional turbo
