Abstract :
Electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) is considered to be one of the most promising process tomography techniques. Usually, the capacitance measurements obtained from the ECT system are normalized at the high and low permittivity for image reconstruction. In this work, the images that are reconstructed with capacitance measurements normalized by different methods are compared in ECT system, and the effect of normalization methods on the image quality is researched. It is concluded that the optimizing normalization method, so that the performances of some iterative algorithms will be improved.
