Abstract

To make mass distributed heterogeneous data resources in all areas share and manage easier. The database grid service is proposed. It devotes integrating database into Grid environment with grid service. A deep research was taken on the grid service development tools GDT(Grid Development Tools) and GT4(Globus Toolkit V4.0) which is a services container. A integrated development environment was built with GDT, GT4 and Eclipse. Then the database grid service was developed with the integrated development environment. And it realized the operation and management of distributed heterogeneous data resources. GDT was used for developing database grid service in this paper, it makes the code easier to write. Database grid service provides users with a unified interface to access to distributed heterogeneous databases resources.
