Abstract :
This paper used the Matlab numerical bifurcation analysis package MATCONT to analyze bifurcations and voltage stability for a simple power system, and the SVC with static state feedback control was used to improve voltage stability of the system. The MATCONT simulation results show that the SVC using static state feedback controller can delay the saddle-node bifurcation (SNB) point effectively, and the controller parameter KS has important influence on voltage stability.
