Abstract
Broad band acoustic Doppler current profiler (BBADCP) adopt repeated binary coded pulse as itpsilas transmitted signal. According to the characteristic of signal spectrum, this kind of signal can be represented as the linear addition of multiple narrow band signals with different frequency. Using the Cramer-Rao bound of narrow band acoustic Doppler current profiler (NBADCP), the accuracy model of BBADCP is established and simulation is done. The reason that accuracy of BBADCP is higher than NBADCP is analyzed, and the conditions that accuracy of BBADCP is higher than NBADCP are discussed, at the same time, the relationship of measurement precision, signal-to-noise and the length of codes are analyzed. At last, some principles of selection of signal parameters are presented.
