Abstract :
Testing is critical for testers to verify embedded real-time operating system´s (RTOS) design and find run time problem. Current testing methods for RTOS are mainly based on manual measurement. These methods are inefficient and error-prone. State machine based log analysis need a state machine model for the operation at first. Then drive by system log messages, the state machine can under test itself and find out problems when the operation do not meet the specification. We apply this method in RTOS testing and conclude that the state machine based log analysis is helpful for us to test RTOS quickly and efficiently.
