  • Abstract
This paper addresses the problem of blind estimation and equalization of arbitrary digital communications channels. The Mutually Referenced Equalizers (MRE) approach, initially proposed for the single user case, is reviewed and an extension to the the multi-user case is presented that holds for an arbitrary multiple access framework. The particular case of CDMA signals is then considered, for which a two-stage blind estimation algorithm is derived. Performance evaluations over actual indoor channels are conducted.
