Abstract :
Two computer simulation models are presented for the performance calculation of an inverter-fed induction motor drive. First, a modified steady-state equivalent circuit is described, and some identification methods are discussed. Second, a time-domain model with variable parameters is studied. This model is capable of predicting precisely both the steady-state and the transient behaviors. The comparison of the simulation results with those of experiments shows the clear advantage of the time-domain model.<>
