Abstract :
A MEdium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer operating in the visible and near infra-red part of the spectrum has been selected for the ENVISAT-1 mission as a new generation ocean colour sensors. This paper will present the key features of the MERIS system, including an overview of the MERIS Ground Processor architecture, selected algorithms and data products
