Abstract
This paper describes an application of neural networks as non-linear observers. The synthesis of such a network has been conducted on the basis of original criteria for the determination of the number of neurones and for the particular pattern selection method tailored onto the characteristics of the experiment. Possible extensions of such approaches are then considered.
