Abstract :
A new fuzzy controller for stabilization control of ball-and-beam systems is proposed based on the SIRM (single-input rule module) dynamically connected fuzzy inference model. The fuzzy controller deals with four input items. Each input item has a SIRM and a dynamic importance degree. By using the SIRMs and the dynamic importance degrees, the fuzzy controller automatically switches the ball position control and the beam angular control according to control situations. Control simulation results show the effectiveness of the fuzzy controller
