Abstract
The authors present a model of tracer transport which could be useful for determining perfusion with indicator-dilution methods. The model is based on convection-dispersion transport of the tracer through the coronary circulation and requires the simultaneous recording of tracer concentrations in the left ventricular lumen and in the region of interest in the myocardium. Application of the model to predict myocardial flows in animal studies is also presented.<>
