Abstract
Power system comprehensive evaluation is an important work for the development of power industry. The evaluation results can provide useful suggestions and decision bases. In this paper, the definition, feature and procedure are summarized. The constructions of evaluation indices are introduced. Also the states of art of modern comprehensive evaluation methods are analyzed. The applications of comprehensive evaluation methods in power system are emphasized discussed. The advantages and disadvantages of the methods are analyzed. At last, the development trend of power system comprehensive evaluation is analyzed. The principle of future evaluation indices and methods are presented. It is pointed out that the combination of suitable evaluation methods is a very important development direction.
