  • Abstract
The composite of nano-ZnO/LDPE was prepared via the method of double-solution mixture. Space charge distribution, volume resistivity and ac breakdown strength were measured in LDPE and its composite by adding nano-ZnO with different mass proportions before and after photo-oxidation for several days. It was found that 3 wt% ZnO nano-particles could effectively improve the photo-stabilization of LDPE matrix. A proper explanation was given according to photo-degradation theory of polyethylene and nano-ZnO specialities.
