Abstract
Automation of the control of certain parameters of an artificial heart-lung system is possible, and several examples developed in the laboratory are given: the level regulator, the automatic clamp, and automatic suction. These independently regulated parameters can also be commanded by a PC-type monitoring system. A high-performance modular system is thus available, providing a decision-aid and the possibility of complex interactions between the regulated parameters.<>
