  • Abstract
    A method is presented which distinguishes between normal premature infants and those diagnosed as having Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS). The method uses Heart Rate Variability (MRV) data which is derived from the time-series of consecutive R-R intervals, and exploits aspects of Chaos Theory, without requiring large data records. The data does not require pre-filtering, and the computational time is minimal
