Abstract
Polyaniline (PANI) is one of the most promising organic conducting polymers with moderate electrical conductivity. And the polyethylene/PANI blends are going to show some interesting characteristics in terms of the space charge distribution under high DC electric field and dielectric properties. Experiments were done to investigate these characteristics and a great number of interesting results were observed. Especially, the volt-off profile after short-circuit and the dependence of frequency behavior on different concentrations of PANI corresponding to dielectric constant and loss tangent were shown. At last, discussions and suggestions were put forward.
