Abstract :
A paper to compare the effectiveness of inspection regimes in support of a condition monitoring strategy. The comparisons are made on the basis of a relative combination of effectiveness, cost of inspection and failures statistics. It shows regular non-intrusive inspections using a range of tools and techniques can potentially deliver greater benefits than traditional maintenance regimes.
