Abstract :
In this paper, the channel estimation algorithms are studied for mobile WiMAX standard. The comb-type pilot is used for channel estimation system. Kalman estimator had good performance in slow fading environment. Extended Kalman Filter (EKF), an enhanced version of Kalman Filter, is analyzed and applied for channel estimation. Simulation showed that EKF had better performance than Kalman estimator in slow fading channel with low Doppler shift. Mean Squared Error (MSE) and Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of the proposed algorithm are verified by computer simulation.
