Abstract :
The channel estimation technique based on comb-type pilot arrangement and another advanced pilot arrangement are investigated in this paper under mobile WiMAX standard. The channel estimation based on comb type pilot arrangement is studied through LS and MMSE algorithms and for interpolating the channel, the 2 Dimension (2D) interpolation gives a better performance than advanced 1 Dimension (1D) method such as low-pass interpolation, spline cubic interpolation, and time domain interpolation. Bit Error Rate (BER) performance of the new type of pilot arrangement verified by computer simulation.
