Abstract :
We designed a useful digital signal generating system which transforms BMP file stored in SD card into SDI output signal based on the FPGA hardware platform. This paper presents the software design method of the digital signal generating system. The function of NIOS II CPU will be achieved by making use of software design, includes SD card reading controller, BMP image format conversion and the DMA transmission of digital video component signal, which will be created by the tool NIOS II IDE. Combine the software function and the hardware platform, we can transform BMP format image to SDI signal, and stably display the image on the monitor.
