Abstract :
A survey of uterine activity of seventy-four pregnant woman to date has revealed encouraging results regarding the feasibility of early screening for premature child birth by EHG monitoring. Wavelet theory has shown merits when confronted with the problem of temporal extraction of cellular discharge frequency patterns in relation to muscle tonus. A hybrid algorithm for noise reduction based on wavelet decomposition is proposed
